International staffing is very complex. Between finding the right collaborator (available AND competent), ensuring a coherent budget and respecting deadlines... Staffing can become a real headache. Wishing to take off their performance, the AirFrance KLM teams opened up in 2018 to new opportunities in order to improve their staffing process. It was not only necessary to optimize the management of staffing, but also to ensure the perfect symbiosis of data, from one country to another.

The Air France KLM challenge

A major player in international air transport, AirFrance KLM has developed an audit branch in order to improve its performance. However, the schedules related to audit missions lacked transparency. Indeed, the data was not updated automatically and the processes were not supervised. A real problem when teams have to coordinate from two different countries!

AirFrance KLM therefore decided to come and see if Napta would have a solution to ensure its takeoff.

The challenges launched by AirFrance KLM

AirFrance KLM wanted to fundamentally transform staffing processes. However, too many changes can be harmful if employees are not trained or lost on the new tool.

Its problem? Put an end to a rudimentary Excel file, to create more relevant, accurate and collaborative schedules. At the same time, it was also necessary to find out how to reduce the staffing burden, by creating a calendar entirely designed for their activity. As a result, Napta teams faced three major challenges.

The first was productivity. The AirFrance KLM teams spent too much time planning staffing from one country to another, using a simple Excel file... An error in view of the number of employees to manage and the absence of valuable data (availability, skills, aspirations, etc.). We needed a change of scenery!

The second concerned the international framework for the staffing process. Coordinating the staffing managers and the 30 employees from one country to another is becoming easier. As a result, employees feel more invested! They are more active, by positioning themselves on their favorite mission in one click.

The third and final challenge was the creation of the audits. Previously, the schedule was a neutral and non-intelligent Excel file, blocking the fluidity of the project and the cooperation of the teams... Now, the data comes out in real time.

In view of the international framework and the specific problems of the company, it was necessary to create a tailor-made solution. The Napta teams took into account all the requests of the AirFrance KLM teams, resulting in not three, but five solutions.

For a short month, the solution was tested to be integrated into the daily life of an international company. Upon arrival, the planning function fully met the expectations of the Air France KLM teams.
